The concept was conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic, when most of the year's signature show house events were canceled. The Iconic Home was a fully virtual home with rooms designed by a different Black designer, landscape designer, or architect, and the project consisted of a virtual walking tour complete with audio snippets. AD hosted daily Instagram Lives between staffers and the design teams, discussing their rooms as well as a series of topics of interest. While all of the content is consumer facing, it functionally is a B2B-style campaign that is more for industry insiders than the day-to-day AD audience. In 2024, with the Instagram Broadcast channels a priority and engagement the primary social goal, I conceptualized a "Cookie Week" drop campaign. This campaign consisted of 5 cookie recipes dropped daily onto the feed with exclusive behind-the-scenes recipe development content for those 10k members of the BA "Cookings & Recipes" broadcast channel. I directed our editor to post shots of the recipes while they were in early development (many photos taken by me in the test kitchen) and give some of the inspiration and technical details of working on them.
